Supporting the Umass Amherst Men’s Rugby Club since 2017

Since 2017, the Friends of UMass Rugby, a 501(c)(3) organization, has supported the men’s club rugby team of the University of Massachusetts. Made up of alumni, parents, and community members, the Friends work with club leadership and coaching staff to ensure the team’s continued success, on and off the field. Our primary goal is to support the team with raising and distributing funding so that they can continue the Umass Rugby legacy without financial constraints. The Friends regularly support the team by assisting with equipment and travel costs, and work to cover unexpected costs throughout the year. In addition to our goal of supporting the current team, the Friends work to foster and strengthen the team’s extensive alumni network. We do this by organizing the annual Alumni Golf Outing and other alumni meet-ups. The Friends of Umass Rugby is supported entirely by volunteers who are passionate about the Umass mens rugby team and the community that it creates.
